The Studio restaurant

project description

The Studio is a seasonal seaside restaurant located on Gloucester's Rocky Neck. After doing the rebrand of their sister restaurant, The Rudder, I was hired to come up with a full branding package for The Studio. I pulled from the restaurant's surroundings for inspiration: the ocean, the wood interior, the seafoam shingles, and the area's rich art history.

The portholes on the restaurant’s front door’s are a memorable design feature that I worked into the overall branding.

The logo had to be versatile enough to be used in all of the restaurant’s different signage. From the hanging sign, to the billboard on the roof and the awning over the back deck.

The menu’s cover design features a subtle custom pattern featuring line art drawings. There’s paintbrushes (because the restaurant was once an art studio and is now situation in the Rocky Neck art district), ships & fish (for it’s fishing history and location on the water) and cutlery (because after all, it is a restaurant).

A strategically placed “S” guarantees the perfect pour every time.
